I leave for guide dog schoool in a few days and I want a few books with me on the Braille Note to pass the time. I download books off Web Braille from Nls. Can anyone reccomend some books from there that you've liked so I can have something to read? Thanks a lot.
What sort of books do u like? What guide dog school r u going to?
I'm going to the Guide Dog Foundation in Smithtown N.Y. I like fantasy, historical and realistic fiction, memoirs, and humor.
Well, I can't help you there too much since that's not the kind of stuff I normally read. Sorry. It would be nice if they would devide their books up in to catigories also.
well, I just read five people you meet in heaven by mitch album it was kinda sad and funny and really interesting its a must read if i do say so myself that and several others that i cant remember titles and authors for right off the top of my head
Try looking up authors on web-braille such as Meg Cabot, Louise Rennison, Roald Dahl and Lemony Snicket. Those are all I can think of from Web-Braille at the top of my head. Oh and Stephen King, if you're into horror.

Hi if you like historical fiction I would recommend the book rumors of war. It is the first in a series. The series talks about world war II. The books are about a Mormon family but they give a realistic view on how world war II affected people from Utah. If you search for them you need to have the location box set to all because the books come from the library in Utah. Good luck at the guide dog school.
hmm lets see the phillip pulllman series is good, so is susan cooper she is kinda fantasy. historical fiction well i reccomend tim o'Brien he is really good. plus stephen king, eric lustbader james patterson, john grisham, dean koontz, the man in the iron mask. um jeez i havent used web braille in ages, you should get bookshare its way cooler and bookshare devides the books in to categories.
Enjoy and i hope this helps, glad to hear your getting a guide dog, wish my parents would let me get one.
Xena,
How are you with classics there? Try Dickens. A tale of two Cities, A Christmas Carol and Great Expectations. um, Well, how about To Kill A mockingbird by Harper Lee.
